Second Cousin are an indie folk two-piece made up of Elishka Lane and Nathan O’Maoilearca. They proudly continue the long-standing tradition of the boy/girl folk duo – whether the world needed another one or not.
Their music sounds a little like what you’d make if your parents finally let you have a sleepover: warm, slightly chaotic, and probably happening a bit past bedtime. Skirting Cheerfully between twee and twang, their influences land somewhere between Weezer and Dolly Parton, a combination they insist makes more sense than it should.
Recent live highlights include support slots at BelloBar, Little Whelan’s and Anseo. Their debut single Naked Neighbour is set to be released later this year.
